Well, I'm sure that the heart of every strategy fan will go faster when they hear the name Impressions. They are creating meanwhile the best strategy titles in the world and every new game is another masterpiece and a topseller and one of their old slogans says the truth - 'Committed to excellence in Strategy Entertainment.
For example Lords of Magic. What an amazing game. A great fantasy world, brilliant designed missions, wonderful visuals and a great gameplay. Another milestone from them: Caesar III. Released in 1998, Caesar III is definitely the best part of the famous city building series. The old Rome is the scenario for this game and there you can find everything you ever heard or read about in books and old monumental movies.
Their next release will be a game called Pharaoh. It's another city building game, but this time the scenario is the old Egypt. The graphics are the best which I've ever seen in such a game and the gameplay seems to get very complex again, but of course very easy to control (I love these egyptian icons).
So let's never forget the Amiga games from Impressions. They have released more than thirty titles for the Amiga. Of course mostly strategy titles, but also a few action games like Yolanda. Feudal Lords is a great strategy game from the middle ages. Detroit (german title Ruesselsheim) is a great strategy game about the history of cars. Other releases for the Amiga are of course the first part of the Caesar series, Cohort which has also seen a sequel, Paladin 2, Lords of the Realms, Fighter Command or Global Domination. The list is too long to mention each game here.
