26 Sep 1999 - Back to the Roots V2.03New stuff:
Well, tons of new games are part of this update, together with many amazing new mods.

I think today's highlight is the racing simulation Indianapolis 500 from Papyrus Design Group and we want to thank Mr. Marsala very much for allowing us, to put their first game online. Some more games from Mental Image Software Design were added: Invaders 2, Satu, Willy in the Castle of Dreams, the Winning Post and especially Technology 2 (a fruit machine). All of them are really worth a look and all have excellent music. Other new additions from the good old Infocom days are Ballyhoo, Deadline, Planetfall, Plundered Hearts and Spellbreaker.

But of course that's not all, because the next masterpiece follows immediately and it's Whale's Voyage 2 from Neo Software which is better than the first part and features great graphics and music together with a very complex gameplay. The following new games are mostly AGA games and are playable from HD only: Bouncing Rounds is the first Puzzle Bobble Amiga clone, FaYoh is an excellent Super Mario Clone with colorful graphics, Maniacball is a cool breakout game with four paddles, Revenge is a very bloody action game, Super Bubble Remix is the best Bubble Ghost clone ever and Zalycon is a good action game which was brought to life by various people of the demo scene (4-mat, Chaos etc.).

The music section has seen an update too, and this time a historical one, because the music legends Allister Brimble and Mike Clarke allowed us, to put their mods online. So now you can find here Allister's music from Dojo Dan, Alien Breed, Assassin together with many other tunes from him, and from Mike Clarke you can download the tunes from games like Bill's Tomato game, Last Action Hero, Last Ninja 2 and many others. Mark Knight also sent some more of his great tunes and we are happy to present them here too.

Other new game and demo mods from various artists and many new chip tunes were added too (for example the winner tune of the LTP3 party from Kenet, which you are listening at the moment through the mod player popup window). Please also have a look at the Musicians, Artists and Companies sections, because more interesting Reviews were added.

Have fun! See you soon!
