02 Oct 1999 - Back to the Roots V2.04New stuff:
Hello everybody! This time we have lots of new stuff for the demo freaks out there and of course some other diamonds. 73 million seconds is an excellent demo from Pulse. It shows great effects together with absolutely amazing graphics from Visualize. Tour is a coproduction of Pulse, Pygmy Projects and Virtual Dreams. Visualize made the graphics for this demo too and he shows his talent again.

Incoming Future from Gods has won the Party 98 windows demo competition and is definitely a masterpiece and also supports 3dfx. Plastik from Purple is well designed and Airomir 0.1 mg from Radio a good 64k intro. Nightfall from Orion has made the first place at the LTP3 party, supports 3dfx and features an excellent mp3 tune with vocals from Willbe together with a cool design. All these demos can be found in the PC-Demos section.

In the AGA-Demos section you can find these new demos: Extra Life from Abyss shows great effects, beautiful graphics from Cyclone and great beats from Muffler and is the MS'98 winner demo. Grid from Nature, Heat from Sector 7, G-Force from Pygmy Projects and 2998z from Darkage are all excellent intros and all have received some awards.

Often requested, now finally uploaded is Odyssey, the famous space saga from Alcatraz. Enigma from Phenomena is another classic Amiga demo with great music. Demon Download from the Silents is also well known. Ulitro from Dreamdealers is a Bbstro with nice music and a little bit different to real scene demos are the famous Walker Demo and Walker Demo II. Both are showing some really cool Star Wars animations and were also requested.

Here's something for the game freaks: Another milestone from Neo Software can be found in the games section. It's The Clue!, the great burglary simulation. Guildhall Leisure allowed us to put some games from CDS Software online and for the beginning you can download one of the best chess simulations, which were ever made for the Amiga - Colossus Chess X. Also new, the nice game Tank Attack. Never seen on the net before is the game John Lowe's Ultimate Darts from Gremlin. SSG has contributed another great strategy game - Gold of the Americas and two new games from Kingsoft are available too - the great Uridium clone Phalanx 2 and the nice puzzle game Block Shock. The last new game for today is the great Public Domain game Astrokid which feautures graphics and musics in commercial quality. Definitely the best PD game ever is Blitz Bombers which is much better than the original Dynablaster! The game was planned to be distributed commercially, but after finishing the game, the design team has decided to release it into the PD Pool. This AGA game features amazing graphics and has a beautiful sound and well designed levels.

A very nice gift from Magic Bytes and ReLine is the slideshow from Biing! - a very funny, crazy and very erotic hospital management simulation. The game is not availlable for download, because they're still selling it, but nevertheless you should enjoy a few of the excellent comic graphics from the game. You can find this slideshow in the ECS-Demos section (because it's a slideshow :).

The Tools section offers brand new releases of WinAmp and the ModPlug, both a must if you run Windoz. New at BTTR is also ADF Opus from Dan Sutherland, an excellent ADF utility for Win32. Bobic also created 10 new Skins for WinAmp! All have this wonderful demo style and gfx credits must go to Visualize! Please have a look at them, because they'll make you enjoy to 'watch' WinAmp much more. :)
