09 Oct 1999 - Back to the Roots V2.05New stuff:
Hi again! Another huge update in the music section! Four great mp3's from one of my favourtie scene musicians Clawz were added and this is a real premiere, because these tunes cannot be found on any other site yet. Clawz no longer is active in the scene, but of course he's still composing great music and he sent me these new tracks. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I like listening to them.

More than 180 new other tunes were added too! Especially the chip tunes section has grown a lot and now contains many great tunes from famous and fabulous scene people like Rez, Loonie, Radix and of course many others. The game music freaks should have a happy day too, because one of the most famous Amiga game music musician has granted us the permission to upload his tunes here - Matt Furniss! Now it's time to listen to the wonderful music from Klax, Soccer Kid, Arabian Nights, Rainbow Islands and all his other modules.

The last tunes which I would like to mention are four mp3's, which were created by - myself! Yes - it's true, but of course I must tell you a short story about these tunes. I'm not a musician, I can't play an instrument and I don't have the talent to compose music with trackers. But there are a few tools which allow people like me to create music in commercial quality. These tools contain samples and sequences and all you have to do is put them together like in a puzzle. But nevertheless you need a little bit of feeling to get them to sound worth listening, to find a nice melody. And I've used some own (speech) samples too! Of course real musicians will call this way to create music very lame and I can understand their opinion, but nevertheless I'm a bit proud of having created them. I don't want to rate my own work, so you can find 0% at each of them. But of course you can send me your own personal ratings for my tunes :)

And of course there are new games available too. We're very happy to have the official permission from MegArts for their wonderful game Bomb Mania which is a great Dynablaster clone with many additional features. From the very friendly Mark Sheeky were uploaded the great shoot 'em up's Firefly and Xenex, the strategy game Global Thermonuclear Warfare and the funtastic Arcade clone Overlander. Mark is also a very talented music artist and all his games are worth listening too! Two famous advertising games are the Sony Game and Space Job, Texas Chainsaw Massacre is the PD game to the movie and Teeny Weenys is an excellent mind game which requires AGA.

The Tools section has been updated too, 4 new Emulators where added. ADFlib, a portable project to access ADFs on many platforms (as Windows and Linux), 2 new WinUAE Help files in HTML-Help format show about anything you may want to know about Amiga emulation and WinUAE. And last but not least, the smallest emulation tools of the world, Wartrans, can be downloaded from here too.
