29 Oct 1999 - Back to the Roots V2.08New stuff:
With this update we just bring you a few games, but lots of interesting stuff for all demo freaks!

Again a Mutation Software / Core Design special in the games section:

Tommy Gun (a Cabal alike game), Castle Kingdoms (action-adventure-rpg mixture) and Cyberpunks (action) were all programmed by Mutation Software while Corporation was the first game, which Core Design has ever published by their own! The last new game for today is called Botts 3 and it's a great shoot 'em up game from Parallel Realities, which is now Freeware! Only a few games this time, but of course excellent ones!

Now let's come to the big demo special:

Check out the ECS-Demos section please, because you'll find there many issues of the well done Defy Diskmags from Cydonia. Each issue has a great intro with cool routines! A great demo from this group is Capricorn One. From Virtual Dreams, the 40k intro Chaosland is available here now. Paradox made the excellent Calimero intro, and D. from Essence was uploaded too. And last but not least: Metal Melissa and Tornado of Souls from the Animators online. Both are very well designed.

Need more AGA-Demos? Here we go:

I want to introduce the AGA-Demo news with a masterpiece from Cydonia. Their slideshow Dreams is now online here too. Some of the best AGA demos, which I've ever seen are My Kingdom from Scoopex / Haujobb, Aphrodisiae (again from Haujobb) and The Sign (hehe... Scoopex). All these demos have a brilliant 3D engine! Picture Book (made by Axis) shows some great graphics from Lowlife and A few good men (made by Gods) from Bridgeclaw. Other great demos are Unauthorised Lands, Harmageddon, Deep - The Psylocibin Mix, The Breath of the Muse, Blur, Baygon and the Amiganica Hungarica 98 invitation intro, which has an outstanding 3D engine too!

And after a long break, the Scene-Pics section received an update too:

This time with graphics from such pixel masters like Cyclone, JCS, Acryl or TMK. Additionally online now, a new pic from Lazur and one from Made!!! And don't forget to have a look at the pictures from Visualize - his work is amazing!

And a link to Melcom was added too. Melcom is a famous ex-scene musician who has also composed music for some games. He's still working very hard on his site, but nevertheless many great modules and music disks are available for download.

We hope that this all will keep you busy some time... ;-)
