12 Nov 1999 - Back to the Roots V2.10New stuff:
This week we present you again two excellent and famous adventure games from Sierra and they are Police Quest and Police Quest II. Guide Sonny Bonds, the hero of both games, through all the danger and fight against the criminals of Lytton town.

Surely racing fans will enjoy another great game from Core Design - Jaguar XJ220. Also from this company were uploaded the excellent platform action game Wolfchild, for which Martin Iveson has composed a fantastic soundtrack and adventure freaks should enjoy Universe, an intergalactic space odyssey with a wonderful artwork. Paladin 2 is something for the stragey fans. Impressions are well known for their strategy games and this one was created in 1993 together with Omnitrend Software.

Let's leave the commercial corner and move over to some fine Freeware games: At first there's another great game, made with Amos - Santa and Rudolph. It's not really a sweety Christmas game, because you have to push the firebutton very often. Monster Maze is a nice labyrinth game from Hyperion Software and Outliner from Scorpius Software a shoot 'em up in different style. Another shoot 'em up is Dark Conquest. Ricochet is a brilliant table tennis clone of Pong. A very funny "racing" game is Snail Race while Wheelchair Gladiators is a game similar to the famous game Destruction Derby - but of course not with cars :-)

All the demo sections have seen an update too. Let's go back in time and check out the T.R.S.I. special please. Follow Me, Mindblasting Vectors, Prism Vectors and Ecliptica were added from this group. Also the Wormhole Intro from Complex is new. In the AGA demo section are Cream, Cuzco and Doodledoo new. Shinjuku and Spoletium 2 are two excellent intros from Darkage. Spoletium 2 is an invitation intro for the same named party, which was held a few weeks ago in Italy. The Spoletium 2 party is one of the last Amiga only demo parties. Behind Darkage - the demo group - are the same people who have founded Darkage Software! They're one of the few companies who are supporting the real Amiga as much as possible. Currently they have two games under construction: The brilliant looking 3D Jump 'n Run game Tales from Heaven (looks like Mario 64 on the Amiga!!!) and the Turrican clone Land of Genesis. More infos are of course available at the Darkage homepage.

Three new (and huge) PC demos are the accelerated masterpiece Wonder from the Sunflower team which exists of such legends like Unreal, Visualize and Virgill. Also Razor 1911 is back! They have founded a new PC devision which has created Mindstammer, a demo which has won the Dreamhack '99. Moral Hard Candy is a new amazing, perfectly styled demonstration from Blasphemy

Also I've thought it's time to change the music at the mod player pop-up window. Now you can listen to Jogeir Liljedahl's amazing guitar tune G-Comp. I've never heard a better guitar module. This song is also part of Jogeir's actual Audio CD The Wanderer (of course in studio quality!) which you can order from the homepage of Bjorn Lynne or from Synsoniq Records.
