08 Sep 2000 - Two important 'issues'
BTTR engine update

The BTTR engine has been entirely reworked, basically to reduce it's server load to ensure that the archive can grow without limits. As with any software such massive changes may introduce new bugs. Please report anything you might find out and don't rely on someone else doing it! Thanks.

Running robots at BTTR

Some people try to make 'offline versions' of BTTR using silly tools like MSIE or similar offline viewers. Many preventions have been made to save BTTR from these few egoists by banning several download utils and 'accelerators' and implementing an 'evil robot defender', but people still try it day by day. Please stop hammering down our servers, you're not alone on the world!
24 Aug 2000 - Back to the Roots V2.23New stuff:
Welcome!
Today we have prepared another nice update for you with some cool, legal game downloads as well as some of the hottest stuff from the Amiga and the PC demo scene.

Games:
Until today we were only be allowed to upload the game "Bomb Mania" from the german company MegArts. But thanks to Arndt Schwaiger from MegArts we can present you two more of their games, now. With "Brainman" you'll get an addictive arcade-puzzle game, while "MegArts Hockey" is one of the best icehockey games for the Amiga. Expect Kick Off action on the ice!
Also we're very proud to present you almost every other game from Scorpius Software, including a very rare game called "Jump Em", which was never seen before elsewhere on the net. "Jump Em" is a difficult, but very thrilling mind game which will heavily challenge your braincells. The other games from Scorpius Software are Arazmax (Action), Challenge of the Matrix (Mind), One on One (Two-Player-Action), Roton (Shoot 'em Up) and Spectrum (Shoot 'em Up). Even the excellent round based Strategy/RPG mixture 'Blade' is back online, a game which was originally published by the well known english company Alive Mediasoft...
Uploaded were also the requested games "Iridon" from Kingsoft and "Turbo Raketti", but the highlight of this update are probably two great adventure games from Sierra: The outstanding Adventure-RPG "Quest for Glory 2 - Trial by Fire" and the cult classic "Goldrush".

Demos:
The Assembly 2000 was held last weekend and we have some of the hottest PC demos from this party for you. If you liked the masterpiece "Toys" from Gods, then you must watch "Spot" from the hungarian group Exceed, the people who also brought you the unbelievable 64k Intro Heaven Seven. "Spot" looks amazing, it uses only a software rendering 3D engine, but it's in a quality which you haven't seen before. Download this 10MB killer demo immediately! Those people from Exceed could work for Disney/Pixar without any problems!
Also "Live Evil", a different demo production which is dedicated to the legendary jazz musician Miles Davis, was presented on the ASM and looks cool. Haujobb reached the second place at the ASM2k demo compo with their new production called "Art". Then we've also seen the comeback from a wonderful demogroup - Orange! Their "Ibiza" demo was uploaded as well as "Haugyjobb", an excellent and very very funny joke-demo about Haujobb, and "Enlight the surreal" from Noice, which surprised us with another great tune from Evade.
People who plan to visit the LTP 4 party in France at the end of August, should download the invitation demo for this party to get more informations about it.
Other excellent demos, which were presented a little bit earlier this year, are "74293945" (great dentro), "H3O Breather" and "Nowhere" (cool demos from 3 State), "Plainwork" and "Pluxity" (intros from Unik), "Absolut Vodka" and "Together" (nice demo and intro from Fairlight) and "Two watermelons and one indoor ape" from Replay, which is a demo in typical Replay-style (less quality effects but excellent design and amazing music!). Music freaks must also download the "Tac2" intro and the "Houston 600" demo, for which Steffo has made the music. Steffo is a brilliant musician and especially the music for "Tac2" makes this production to the second best intro in this year for us. We love this tune so much, therefore you can listen to it at out mod-player-popup window now, too.

For nostalgia freaks are many cool A500 demos available in the ECS Demos section. "Cobalt" and "The Drunk Desert Demo" from Paradox, "Elysium" (Sanity) or "Devil's Key" (Alcatraz) are all cult productions. But also all the other new additions to this section are worth a closer look and with "In a world of Ascii" we bring you the first Ascii only demo ever made on the Amiga in ADF format. A funny production!

Music:
The music section contains some new wonderful tunes from various scene artists. It's always a pleasure to listen especially to the creations from Elwood and Fabian "Rapture" Del Priore. Fabian is also the main composer behind the Merregnon music project in which are involved such legends like Chris Hülsbeck, Allister Brimble, Lizardking, Jester or Purple Motion. The Merregnon team will soon release an Audio-CD with new compositions from those famous musicians, but also some new and exclusive material will be ready for download on their website.
Of course not only music from Elwood and rapture was added, even more great tunes like the excellent music from the "Sleepless" Demo, which was composed by KB (=Killerbusen ;-) or the great "Urea" tune from Kure/Rave Network Overscan, are now part of our archive.

Last but not least were included some excellent pictures from the demo scene, which you'll probably like a lot, too (especially the pics from Toast. That's all from us at the moment. Enjoy!
