Hello, today we want to give you a good example, that BTTR is international, that this site is something for everyone on this planet, for every nation. It doesn't matter which language you speak. Everyone can find something for his pleasure here.
Games: The spanish company Aventuras AD. has allowed us to upload their text-adventure games. "La Aventura Original" and "La Diosa de Cozumel" are very famous in in Spain, but only spanish speaking people can enjoy them. ITE Media are converting famous computer based TV-shows to computer and console platforms. Probably their biggest success are the "Hugo" games. We were allowed to upload their Amiga games and we want to start with the first game with the little troll. Especially kids will have a lot of fun with this simple, but good looking game. It's in danish language, but it's not necessary to speak this language for playing this game. Then let's come to the french company Lankhor. Their masterpiece "Mortville Manor" is available in german and english language now. Completely in french is another wonderful adventure game with good graphics from this games developer: "Black Sect". And it's a rarity! Many people have also asked us for an english version of one of the best trading-simulations: "1869" from Max Design. Now it's online! More games in english language are "Formula One Mangager" from Crystal Interactive and "Frontal Assault" from Apex Designs, who will release a GTA clone for the Amiga very soon. And this game looks very promising! And last but not least we have a very special surprise for you: The CD32 version from "Beneath a steel sky", a brilliant adventure game developed by Revolution Software. As far as we know this is the ONLY full working english version. Give it a try - even if it's a big download. The CD contains also the german version, only the ingame speech is available in english only.
AGA-Demos: Most of the new productions are coming from the czech groups Reason and Horizontal Lamerz, which really know their business. And we can present you a true classic with "Soho" from the french group Nova. The "Sound" series is an excellent music-disk collection. "Virgill Dreams" is another music-disk. Virgill, the excellent musician who also did the tune for our Back 2 the Roots demo, presents more of his work on these three disks.
ECS-Demos: Brand new demos for the Amiga 500? Yes, that's possible. Some groups are coding demos even for this machine in the year 2000, like Scoopex or Spaceballs. Download their latest A500 productions now and enjoy this wonderful oldskool feeling. And we have some true classic for you with "Human Target" from The Silents and the "Psychotic Demo" series from Budbrain plus some great music-disks like "Digital Disco 2" or "Sound of Silents". Also check out our demo-list, which also includes useful compatibility infos for emulation users. Over 240 new demos were tested and included into our database.
PC-Demos: Not many demos were released at the Evoke2k party, but enough for bringing some cool action on your screens. "Akkordarbeit" from Bypass and "Defrost" from Unik are well designed 64k intros. "Medieval Times" from Witchcraft brings some middle age atmosphere on the screen and "Evoke 2000" from Haujobb is a very funny invitation intro for the Evoke 2000. Again we've added some demos, which were released earlier this year and which nobody should miss (tips from us are "This is", "Bjoer" and "Fate").
Music: Some years ago there was a musician, who has inspired many people with his excellent tunes. His music was one of the reasons why demos from the group The Silents have got so much attention. His name is Jesper Kyd and we've uploaded many excellent mods from this famous man, who composes music for games like MDK2 or Messiah today. Not to forget Blue Silence, who was active in the Amiga demo scene years ago, too. Now we've added some more of his cool tracker music plus some mods from other musicians. This time we've also prepared some nice music stuff from Amiga games. Hannes Seifert, company director from Neo Software has composed the music for "Whale's Voyage". Nick Jones was responsible for the good sound in the games "First Samurai" and its sequel. Holger Stenzhorn is the composer behind the music of the games from the company MegArts. Music from these people can be found in the game-Music section, together with many more tunes from games, like remixes from the famous Monkey Island 2 music.
Pics: Graphic lovers should have a look at the fabulous pics from two games from Neo Software - Fightin' Spirit and Black Viper. Maybe the great graphical art of these games will awake your interest in these games. The german versions of both games can be downloaded from BTTR, too. Flood, Nomad, Lazur, Made, Acryl and Hardfire are the scene artists, from whom you can view their latest pictures now. Nomads' picture "Hommage to Moxica" has won the Evoke 2000 raytracing compo!
Tools: Most of you won't believe it, Brian finally released a new version of WinUAE! You can download both brandnew versions 0.8.14 R1 and 0.8.14 R2 from here now, together with the WinUAE Help files which are availlable in 9 languages, thanks to Georg Veichtlbauer and his translators. Georg still is searching someone to take over the maintanace of the WinUAE help files (he did the german and english versions and organized the translators), so if you are interested then please contact him at vware@gmx.at
And that's it again, for today. Have fun with the new files! yours Bobic & Hippie2000 | Webdir - 18 new links
