Cloanto is probably the most famous Italian company involved in the Amiga market. They brought out several successful applications which were and are still used by many creative people.
The first program which should be mentioned here is Personal Paint. This program has grown from a simple OCS/ECS painting program to a powerful solution for ambitious users. Especially the later versions (version 6.x and above) are a powerful and intuitive paint, image processing, animation and 24-bit solution not only for beginners, but also for experts. The program has some unique filters like stereograms (as seen in "Magic Eye"), emboss, water colour to mention a few. Besides it has many more features such as an undo option, nine different brushes, an animation storyboard which should be mentioned here. File support for GIF, PNG, IFF, PCX and so on are of course supported too.
Another highlight from Cloanto is Personal Fonts Maker. This helpful tool makes it possible to edit all Amiga fonts and to design your own bitmapped fonts. Your personal fonts can then be used with your favourite word processor or any other program. Of course your font sets can also be transferred to printer memory and printed at maximum quality and speed.
Cloantos most popular program is probably Amiga Forever. This is an all-in-one Amiga emulation and data sharing solution for Windows, allowing Amiga software to run on the PC legally and without complex configuration work. Officially-licensed versions of the Amiga Workbench and Kickstarts are included. If you do not own a real Amiga Amiga Forever is the only legal and as a positive side effect also the most comfortable method to emulate an Amiga on your modern PC.
