Max Design from Austria has made some sensational games for the Amiga.
Think Cross was their first game and it is probably the greatest Puzznic clone which was ever written. And after that they have started to create another real diamond. 1869 is an excellent trading simulation with good graphics and a fabulous soundtrack written by Hannes Seifert, who is meanwhile the boss of Neo Software.
Another masterpiece has followed: Burntime, a great mixture of roleplaying and strategic elements. Their last title for our beloved Computer was Oldtimer. Released in 1995 this business simulation was another chart breaker and this was a very complex and fascinating game which came on 8 disks.
Together with Sunflowers, Max Design created the game Anno 1602. As I've written at the Sunflowers page it was Germany's best selling game in 1998 and everybody who has missed this game should buy it immediately. But don't plan any other things if you're playing this game - you will forget everything. Currently, Max Design is working at an Anno 1602 sequel and we can await another game, which will write history.
Max Design don't have an own homepage, but you can inform yourself about their latest products on the Anno 1602 homepage. | Think Cross
