In 1987 Peter Verswyvelen has programmed the shoot 'em up game Ziriax with the help of Erlend Robaye (graphics), Kim Goossens (Title picture) and Thomas Dalghren (music) and they've spent over two years in finishing this game. Ziriax wasn't a milestone, because it was a little bit too difficult. Nevertheless it's a very nice game and makes fun for some hours.
Zarathrusta is a Thrust clone published by Hewson. Even this game was difficult, but together with the good graphics and music it's always worth playing. Two years later he made his best game so far - Deliverance. It's a platform action game with excellent graphics and huge sprites by Kim Goossens. The artwork was made in a very atmospheric gothic style - very bloody, but also very good.
When Peter Verswyvelen didn't make games for the Amiga, he has written some tools. FLink is a very fast linker to speed up the development, while Panther is an experimental 2D 24-bit airbrushing software made for the company Imagination in Motion, where Kim Goossens is working as a creative director meanwhile.
Then Peter changed the development platform and moved over to Windows. Several broadcast television titles were made until today. Also some more programs for Imagination in Motion (Virtual Interview, Perfect Skin and others).
At the moment Peter Verswyvelen thinks about starting a comeback in the gaming scene - probably under the BugFactory label. So if you want to see more games from Peter Verswyvelen, please have a look at his homepage and support him with positive feedback! | Ziriax
