Sunflowers is a developer and publisher from Germany and their first game was released in 1993 and was called Aufschwung Ost - a political strategic simulation game which has given me many wonderful hours and which is still really worth playing. One of their most famous titles is Magic of Endoria - a funny strategy game with excellent graphics. Other bestsellers are Die Fugger II and Holiday Island and some great edutainment titles are also available from this company.
Together with Max Design, Sunflowers released Germany's best selling game in 1998 - Anno 1602. This game is a real diamond, features an excellent gameplay where you have to build up a civilization in realtime, explore new worlds and defend your own territory. Not only due to it's beautiful graphics and the wonderful soundtrack this game has written computer game history. An Add on is available now, so we can still explore new adventures Their current project is called Technomage, it will be a top roleplaying action adventure in the style of Zelda. It looks very very promising and seems to be one of the games of the year 1999.
