This compilation contains some of the best tunes of the Amiga 500 Demo Scene and is dedicated to the father of Amiga computers - Jay Miner. Many years ago not only game musicians have shown us, which high quality music the Amiga soundchip makes posssible.
Even these talented composers from the demo scene have surprised us with unbelievable good modules. Some of the greatest hits of the past Amiga scene are included on The best of the Amiga scene CD.
Scene legends like Mr. Man/Andromeda ("Late Nights"), Romeo Knight/T.R.S.I. ("Boesendorfer PSS"), Jogeir Liljedahl/Virtual Dreams- Fairlight ("Helmetshake"), Lizardking/Razor1911 ("Compulsion to obey") or 4-mat/Anarchy ("4-mat's Madness") have contributed with their excellent music. Of course this album contains many more interesting tracks from other musicians too.
Unfortunately none of the tunes was rearranged or remixed. All are still sounding like the original mods, which is of course not bad, but it wouldn't have been a problem to remix these tracks with a higher technology level. Nevertheless a very interesting CD for people who wanted to revieve the old days with their CD player. | The best of the Amiga scene
