Something completely different is Wolves of Gods from Bjorn Lynne, a music album based on the novel by Allan Cole. Today it's normal to compose music for a movie, but for a book?! Let's see what Bjorn Lynne has created this time.
The opening track "Prologue - To dream of wolves" starts very dramatic. A thrilling mixture of powerful orchestral sounds and synth music. Really impressing! Every piece of music describes a part of the story from the book. Let's take another example. Track number 6 - "The spirit rider" - my personal favourite. It goes about lust and magic and a mysterious horse woman. The song catches perfectly this atmosphere!
The entire CD is a wonderful trip through an ancient land full of mystery. With his melodic fantasy-symphonic- rock-soundtrack style, Bjorn created a real masterpiece. Wolves of Gods has totally surprised me. Every songs contains of many various harmonic and thrilling parts. Even people like me, who didn't read the book, will notice the power and the magic of this album. A fascinating soundtrack about a fascinating world.
The CD booklet contains a short story to every song, so everyone can notice what's happening in the book and what the author and the musician want to tell us. | Wolves of Gods Cover
