Site News

January/February 2006 – Some problems with the BttR servers meant I was unable to upload any amendments for the majority of this period. However, this is now sorted and all the outstanding work which I had completed is now in place. Mainly amongst this is a huge increase in the screenshots and thumbnails available – many of these being new better quality pictures. Over the next few months I will be endeavouring to replace the screenshots which are poor quality or missing.

November-December 2005 – The major change I have made to the site is in reformatting the game genre listings. For the benefit of those who are looking for a game but cannot remember the name I have installed thumbnails which may help you identify the one you’re after. However, you should be aware that these indices will now take some time to fully load due to the sheer number of graphic files involved (not recommended for dial-up users). I would be interested in your opinions on this change, be they good or bad. For those who would like to do so please use the email link at the end of this page.

July-October 2005 – I installed yet more screenshots and more documentation for freely downloadable games and updated over 3000 of the game info pages. At present I have many more updates and additions to the database in hand and these will be posted on the site by November.

Note: To the commercial website which has been plagarising my work over the last year. Your naughtiness has been noted and legal action is in hand. Tut, tut. You should have asked first or at least corrected the obvious errors I had injected to catch you out. Lazy thieves never prosper.

June 2005 – Over the month I installed approx another 100 screenshots. I also installed the documentation for quite a few games which are freely downloadable. I will endeavour to add the manuals for those which remain missing over the coming few months.

Note: Many of these documents were originally typed up/scanned in by cracking groups and they often require a fair bit of work fixing typos and removing the silly comments which they inserted. I’m sure you can imagine just how boring and time consuming it becomes reading through these manuals – but bear with me and I’ll eventually post all those I legally can.

February-May 2005 – My apologies for not having updated this news section over this period. Despite having updated most of the site, replacing and inserting new information where applicable, this was due to there really being nothing of real significance to report. Anyway, I now have screenshots in place for approx two thirds of the games listed. One main task which I hope to complete over the coming months is to install those which remain missing.

January 2005 – Over this and the coming months I intend, and have begun, to work through the entire database replacing and inserting new information in a more systematic manner than I did previously. This may result in some updates being put on hold till its turn comes around again but should mean that I can more easily keep track of what has and hasn’t been done. This may mean that submitted info won’t appear for around a month or so, and for that I apologise, but my time being limited I see it as the only way to viably keep the site expanding.
